Dr. Amita Sachdev ND brings you 25 years of experience in health care.

Dr. Amita Sachdev graduated from The University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in and has worked as a Registered Nurse in hospitals, public health, and the community with acutely ill and chronically ill patients of all ages in a variety of settings, including cardiac care, infectious disease, head injury, birth control / planned parenthood councelling, pre & post-surgical, and emergency medicine.

Upon graduating from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2002, Canada’s only accredited Naturopathic Medical program, Dr. Amita Sachdev ND completed an additional elite 2 year residency at Canada’s largest naturopathic teaching clinic and continues to serve as a faculty member and advisor at CCNM while in private practice in Vaughan, Ontario for over 15 years.

Dr. Amita Sachdev ND has a special interest in supporting patients with cancer and is an active member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP) attending annual conferences and keeping up with the latest cancer research. Dr. Sachdev also holds memberships with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

Dr. Amita Sachdev ND has additional training and certification in pharmacology and can prescribe bioidentical hormones, including dessicated thyroid, and administer intravenous infusion vitamin therapy.

Dr. Amita Sachdev ND also practices general family health and treats a variety of conditions including women’s health (fertility, menopause, PMS), men’s health (cardiovascular, prostate), pediatrics, geriatrics (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), and provides palliative care.

Dr. Amita Sachdev ND uses standard diagnostic and laboratory tests in formulating diagnosis and can recommend treatments that can complement conventional medical treatments or be used effectively on their own, offering patients a unique blend of conventional medical knowledge with traditional healing wisdom to provide a truly integrated approach to healthcare.
